Sue Stitt - Digital iPad Artist: Modern Seascapes and Striking Yacht Art

Advances in the digital world have transformed the way Sue now approach her images and she's been impressed with the freedom and creativity that it allows. Sue Stitt art showcases the result of a gradual learning curve from her research on how to use vector Apps on the iPad to create digital images. So far, this has been an excellent and rewarding experience; although not considered a traditional technique, for her, drawing and designing on the touchscreen of her iPad pro with an Apple pencil, continues to be an enjoyable new challenge. This new technique has yielded a number of modern seascapes paintings and striking modernist yacht art

The images are Giclee printed on The Isle of Wight using Archival Matt, 315gsm, 100% Cotton rag which captures the clarity, brightness and longevity Sue strives for. Previously when working for Usborne Publishing as a children's book illustrator, Sue painted with LUMA concentrated watercolours which faded rapidly in the light. So far she has chosen to create limited editions from 25 - 250. When the run comes to a close, the file is then deleted.

The Isle of Wight has been Sue's home for the past 20 years. The varied scenery and the vibrant events held here has been her inspiration and her Isle of Wight art has managed to encapsulate what makes the Island so special. Also, as a keen sailor, Sue has been fortunate to participate in Cowes
