Anthony James
A successful movie actor turned visual artist, Anthony James was a first generation American born of parents who emigrated from Greece in the early 1940s. His artwork is abstract on an emotional level; he painted from within and the struggle between light and dark is evident on canvas. Though the subjects of the paintings are generally simplified to basic geometric shapes, the mix of colours creates an intricate pattern and a certain drama that overtakes the canvas. His work was most recently shown at the Boston International Fine Art Show.
